Villa La Testa was designed for big gatherings and holidays across the generations. It is made up of two self-contained buildings linked by the terraces and the garden: the main house, which brings together the living room, the kitchen and four bedrooms, and a three-bedroom annexe that gives teenagers, grandparents or a second family their independence.
The living room of more than 60 m² opens fully onto the terrace and the pool. The open kitchen, equipped to cater for fourteen, extends the living space towards the summer kitchen and the barbecue. Every area has been designed so that everyone can come together without ever being on top of one another.
The house looks out over Pinarello Bay, with the Bavella Needles behind. The materials — local stone, pale wood, linen — were chosen so that the villa ages well and stays cool at the height of summer.
Where you sleep
Five double beds and eight single beds, all of them proper beds: no sofa bed is counted in the stated capacity. Every bedroom is air-conditioned, with shutters and blackout curtains.

What is waiting for you
On request we can also arrange mid-stay cleaning, a private chef for a Corsican dinner, transfers from Figari or Bastia, and massages by the pool. Tell us what you would like before you arrive.
Outdoors

Twelve metres by five, set at the highest point of the grounds so that the waterline meets the horizon. You swim facing Pinarello Bay, with the Bavella massif behind.
The depth shelves gently from 1.20 m to 1.80 m: deep enough for lengths, shallow enough for children who cannot swim yet. The water is salt-treated.

A few steps from the pool, a four-seat infinity spa stretches the evenings out. The temperature can be set all year round: cooling in August, warm in May and October after a day's hiking.
It is serviced before every arrival and the water is changed between stays.

The house is built around three patios, each facing a different way: the morning one for breakfast, the pergola one in shade all day long, and the west-facing one for drinks as the sun goes down.
The large outdoor table seats fourteen. The summer kitchen — plancha, charcoal barbecue, pizza oven — means you need never go inside from June to September.

The grounds have kept their original maquis: olive trees, strawberry trees, rosemary, rock rose and curry plant. A garden that smells of Corsica rather than a watered lawn, kept alive by drip irrigation — a deliberate choice in a region where water matters in summer.
At the far end of the grounds, a games area with a pétanque court, a basketball hoop and a table tennis table keeps the older ones busy all afternoon.

Where the villa is

The villa looks down on the village of Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio, on the east coast of Corse-du-Sud. A village that has kept its grocer's, its bakery and its morning market — and whose beach you can walk to.
The location lets you range across the whole of South Corsica without spending your holiday in the car: sea in the morning, mountains in the afternoon, pool before dinner.
The exact address and directions are sent to you once your booking is confirmed.
