The villa

Capacity, bedrooms, how the two buildings are arranged.

How many people can Villa La Testa sleep?

The villa sleeps up to 14 guests in 7 bedrooms spread over two self-contained buildings: 5 double beds, 8 single beds and 5 bathrooms. No sofa bed is counted in that total.

Does the villa suit two families?

Yes, it is the most common arrangement. The two buildings are self-contained, each with its own bedrooms and bathrooms, and they share the living room, the kitchen, the pool and the 3,000 m² garden.

Is there a sea view?

Yes, the villa looks down over Pinarello Bay with the Bavella Needles behind. The view is open from the terrace, the pool and several bedrooms.

Are all the bedrooms air-conditioned?

The 7 bedrooms each have their own reversible air conditioning, shutters and blackout curtains. The room-by-room detail is on the page The Villa.

Can the single beds be pushed together?

The single beds in bedrooms 3 and 4 can be pushed together to make a 180 cm double. Tell us when you book and it will be set up before you arrive.

Pool & outdoors

Swimming, child safety, garden and barbecue.

Is the pool heated and secured?

The 12 × 5 m pool is not heated — facing due south, it naturally reaches 26 to 28 °C from June to September. It is fitted with a submerged alarm that complies with French law, and a removable fence is fitted free of charge on request.

Does the spa work all year round?

Yes, the 4-seat spa is heated and its temperature can be set, winter included. Its water is changed between stays.

Are the pool and garden private?

Entirely. The pool, the spa and the 3,000 m² of enclosed grounds are for the villa's guests alone, with nothing shared and no immediate neighbours.

Can we have a barbecue?

Yes: the summer kitchen has a gas plancha, a charcoal barbecue and a pizza oven. During fire-risk periods, only gas appliances are allowed, in line with the Corse-du-Sud prefectural orders.

Is there enough to keep children busy?

The far end of the garden has a pétanque court, a basketball hoop and a table tennis table. Kayaks are available for the beach, and board games are in the living room.

Your stay

Arrivals, linen, cleaning, wifi, pets.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Arrivals are on Saturday from 4 pm, and departures before 10 am. If your flight is very early or very late, let us know: we adapt whenever we can.

Are bed linen and towels provided?

Yes: sheets, pillowcases, bath towels and pool towels are all provided, and the beds are made before you arrive. A mid-stay change is possible on request.

Is cleaning included?

The end-of-stay cleaning is charged separately and appears on your quote. Mid-stay cleaning can be added.

Is the wifi good enough to work remotely?

Yes, the villa is connected to fibre and the wifi covers both buildings as well as the terraces. Several guests work there on video calls out of season.

Can we have groceries delivered before we arrive?

Yes, we can take in a delivery so the fridge is stocked when you arrive. The mini-market and the bakery in Sainte-Lucie are five minutes away.

Are pets allowed?

Dogs are accepted by prior arrangement, provided they do not sleep in the bedrooms and are kept under supervision around the pool.

Book

Rates, quotes, deposit, cancellation.

Why aren't the rates published?

The villa is a family home let directly: rates depend on the season, the length of stay and the number of guests. We draw up a firm quote within 24 hours, itemised and with no hidden fees.

What is the minimum stay?

7 nights in high season, arriving on Saturday. Shorter stays are considered outside July and August.

How much is the deposit?

A 30% deposit confirms the booking; the balance is due 30 days before arrival. A security deposit is taken on arrival and returned after the check-out inventory.

What is the cancellation policy?

They are set out in full in the rental terms and restated in your contract. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

What is the advantage of booking direct?

You avoid the platform commission, often 10 to 15% of the stay, you speak directly to the owners, and you get our advice and our local contacts.

Can we book for Christmas or New Year?

Yes, on request. The villa has heating and a fireplace, and the spa runs all year — a quiet, bright season, very different from the summer.

Getting to Corsica

Airports, ferries, car hire.

Which is the nearest airport?

Figari-Sud Corse (FSC), 45 km away, about a 45-minute drive. Bastia-Poretta is an alternative 1 h 50 away, with better connections out of season.

Can we come by ferry?

Yes. The port of Porto-Vecchio is 25 minutes from the villa, and Bastia 1 h 50 away, with the widest choice of crossings, including from Italy.

Is a car essential?

Yes. The beach and the village shops are within walking distance, but everything else in the area needs a vehicle. Allow one or two cars for 14 people, booked three months ahead in summer.

How far are the beaches?

The Ovu Santu beach is 400 m away (a 5-minute walk), Pinarello Bay 10 min, Santa Giulia 30 min and Palombaggia 35 min.

Do you offer airport transfers?

We work with local drivers who run private transfers from Figari or Bastia, and with hire companies that deliver cars straight to the villa.
