Three airports, two ports, and one piece of advice: book your tickets and your car as soon as your dates are set.
By air
45 km from the villa, a 45-minute drive. This is the airport to aim for. It is served from Paris, Marseille, Nice, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Nantes, Geneva, Brussels and London depending on the season. Be aware that the choice shrinks sharply outside summer.
140 km, or 1 h 50 along the coast road. More flights, often cheaper, and year-round — a good fallback if Figari is full or overpriced. The route across the eastern plain is easy and quick.
140 km, or 2 h 15 by the inland road or the Bavella pass. Driveable but winding; best kept for daytime arrivals.
By sea
The ferry is the ideal answer for a party of fourteen: you arrive with your own vehicle, your luggage and all the children's kit, with no weight limit.
Overnight crossings from Marseille or Toulon get you in by morning so you keep the whole first day. Book as early as February for an August sailing: vehicle places go fast.

Route
From Figari: take the T10 (former N198) towards Porto-Vecchio, bypass the town, then carry on north towards Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio / Solenzara. About 20 km after Porto-Vecchio the turn-off for Sainte-Lucie is signposted; the villa stands on the heights above the village.
From Bastia: follow the T10 south across the eastern plain (Aléria, Ghisonaccia, Solenzara). Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio is some twenty kilometres beyond Solenzara. A quick, easy road for most of the way.
The exact address and detailed directions, with the gate code, are emailed to you a few days before you arrive. Arrivals are on Saturday from 4 pm and departures before 10 am.
Flights and ferries: book as soon as your dates are confirmed. Between February and April, August fares often double.
Hire car: this is the tightest thing to get in Corsica. In July and August, book three months ahead — after that the Figari agencies are empty or the prices soar. For 14 people, two cars are more comfortable than a minibus.
