What we undertake to provide, what we ask of you, and how a booking runs from quote to departure.

01Scope and parties

These terms govern the furnished holiday rental of Villa La Testa, at Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio (20144), Corse-du-Sud, offered to short-stay guests who do not take up residence there.

The property is let directly by its owners, with no agency or middleman. All correspondence, the quote and the contract are with them.

This page sets out the general terms. The terms that bind you are those of the holiday rental contract sent to you, which prevails in the event of any discrepancy.

02Quote and booking

Enquiry and quote

Any enquiry made through the availability calendar or by email gives rise to a personal quote within 24 hours, valid for 7 days. The quote states the rent, the end-of-stay cleaning, the tourist tax and any extras.

Contract and deposit

The booking becomes firm when the holiday rental contract is signed and a 30% deposit of the total is paid. The contract states the identity of the parties, the dates, the number of occupants and the total amount.

We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance covering illness, accident and cancelled travel. Flights and ferry crossings to Corsica add up to a sizeable outlay.

Should we have to cancel — for instance because damage makes the property uninhabitable — every sum paid is refunded without delay.

05Arrival, departure and occupancy

Times

  • Check-in: Saturday, from 4 pm, welcome in person and check-in inventory.
  • Check-out: Saturday, before 10 am, check-out inventory.
  • Times can be adjusted outside high season, depending on the stays before and after yours.

Number of occupants

The villa is let for a maximum of 14 people, the number stated in the contract. Accommodating additional undeclared guests may lead to immediate termination of the contract without refund. Daytime visitors are tolerated and must be notified to us.

06House rules

  • No parties or events: the villa is a family home in a residential setting.
  • Noise: amplified music is not allowed outdoors after 11 pm.
  • No smoking indoors; ashtrays are provided on the terraces.
  • Pool: swimming is at guests' own risk, and children must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Pets: dogs accepted by prior agreement, not allowed in the bedrooms.
  • Fire risk: the Corse-du-Sud prefectural orders must be followed strictly; no fires and no charcoal barbecues during a ban.

07Insurance and liability

The guest declares that they hold holiday public liability insurance covering any damage they might cause to the property and its equipment.

The owners cannot be held liable for theft, loss or damage to personal belongings, nor for interruptions of service beyond their control — water, electricity or internet outages.

08Complaints and disputes

Any complaint should be sent to contact@locationdevillacorse.com. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable solution.

Failing agreement, the consumer may refer the matter free of charge to a consumer ombudsman, then bring proceedings before the courts having jurisdiction where the property is located. These terms are governed by French law.

Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to accommodation services supplied on a specific date or for a specific period.
